Madarao Plateau

Madarao Plateau Area It is the area where you can enjoy trekking and a variety of outdoor activities.: Madarao is the starting point of long trail "Shin-etsu Trail", that traverses the mountains of Sekita. There is an over 50km trekking course that goes around Nozomi (Hope) lake or Numanohara wetland at the altitude of 1,000m. Mt. Madarao which has an elevation of 1382m, is "Mt. Kano" that is appeared in the song of "Hurusato (Hometown)". You can enjoy outdoors, and there is also a pleasure to visit art museum during your stay. There are accommodations such as hotel, pension, and cottage, with rich uniqueness. They are also very attractive.
